Safety Center
Hodie is built so that what you see is real — one live, unedited photo a day. But real safety is bigger than real photos. Here's how to protect yourself, and how we help.
If you're in danger right now
Contact your local emergency services — in the EU dial 112, in the US dial 911. Do that first; everything on this page comes second.
How Hodie protects you by design
- Live photos only. Profiles are a same-day, dual-camera capture — no uploads, no filters, no years-old gallery. What you see is who shows up.
- Match-first messaging. Only mutual matches can talk. Strangers can't contact you.
- Report & block everywhere. Every profile and conversation has a report and block button. Reports are anonymous and human-reviewed. How reporting works.
- 18+ only. Hodie is for adults. Accounts suspected of being underage are removed.
- Pause anytime. Hide your profile without deleting anything via Settings → Pause profile.
Chatting safely
- Keep conversations inside Hodie at first — scammers push to move you to other apps quickly.
- Never send money, gift cards, or crypto to someone you met on a dating app. No exceptions, no matter the story.
- Don't share your home address, workplace, daily routine, or financial details with someone you haven't met.
- Be wary of anyone who can never video-call or meet — and of love-bombing that escalates unusually fast.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is — unmatch, block, report.
Meeting in person
- Meet in a public place — a café, a bar, somewhere with people around. Not your home, not theirs.
- Tell a friend who you're meeting, where, and when. Share your live location if you can.
- Arrange your own transport there and back, and keep your phone charged.
- Keep an eye on your drink, and drink within your limits.
- It's always okay to leave early. You owe no one an explanation.
Intimate images and consent
- Always get clear consent before crossing into intimate or sexual topics — and respect a no instantly.
- Never share intimate images of someone without their consent. It's banned on Hodie and illegal in much of the world.
- If someone threatens to share your images ("sextortion"), don't pay — stop contact, screenshot everything, report them, and contact the police. You are not in trouble; they are.

Our rules and your reports
What's allowed on Hodie is spelled out in the Community Guidelines — zero tolerance for harassment, hate, minors, or non-consensual content. When you report, a human reviews it, typically within 24–48 hours. For anything else, email support@migla.io.
