Deleting Your Account & Data
You can delete your Hodie account and personal data at any time. Here's how, and exactly what happens.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Hodie.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are removed right away.
Can't access the app?
Email support@migla.io from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll verify it's you and complete the deletion, normally within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, age, bio, gender, preferences)
- All of your photos
- Your matches and message history
- Your swipes, likes, and interests
- Your push token and device data
What we may keep, and why
To meet legal obligations and prevent abuse, we may retain a limited amount of data for a short period after deletion:
- Records of reports/blocks and serious safety incidents — up to 2 years, to keep repeat offenders out.
- Purchase/transaction records — as required by tax and accounting law (handled with Apple).
- A minimal fraud-prevention record of the deleted email — briefly, then deleted.
These are kept only as long as the law requires or to protect our users, then permanently deleted. Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day schedule.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it separately on your iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Hodie → Cancel.
